    Join Peter Liddle who will talk about the 1620s House & Garden, once thought to be a lone example of a surviving medieval manor house. It is now realised that many more survive, often hidden within later buildings. The talk will look at some of these as well as those that have disappeared and been revealed by excavation and the sites of manor houses indicated by earthworks.

    Nick Gravestock will be playing a replica 1583 lute and a renaissance guitar dressed in costume of the late Elizabethan period.

Group members will have the opportunity to use a comprehensive range of paranormal investigative equipment such as dousing rods, EMF meters, ‘Ghost Boxes’ (record voice phenomena) as well as participate in séances, glass divination and table tipping sessions. All of our paranormal events to date at Donington Le Heath have been hugely successful with activity getting stronger every time we visit!

    The Leeds Waits tell the tragic story of Mary Queen of Scots and her second husband Lord Darnley, parents of the future King James I. Following Mary’s troubled life in the Courts of Scotland and France and subsequent exile in England they will perform the Scottish, French, Italian and English music she would have known, placing it in context with narration and incidental puppetry.
