KS3-4 Learning Sessions

WINDOWS, DOORS & CHIMNEY POTS

The pupils explore maps of their own local area to locate places of familiarity and to analyse their own living geography. They learn about how their local heritage has changed over the years using maps and aerial photography. The pupils investigate the 1620s House and the houses nearby to identify key architectural features, which tell us about the changes in the landscape and economy of the area. The pupils also research census data and can produce their own piece of creative writing inspired by the people and places of the past back in the classroom.

This is a full day KS1-3 session and only costs £3.50 per pupil.

Please note that there is a room for the school to have their lunch, members of the public are not allowed onsite while there are schools visits and we only book one school group in at any one time.
